Happy New Year Speed Freaks!!!!
Hope all your festivities were safe and Santa gave you a
gift that will cut seconds off your lap and run times.
We are busy gearing up for the first VMSC auto slalom event
of the season on the 15th of this Month. So get your gear together, your car prepped and mark the date on
your calendar. If you want a shot at
being the VMSC Club Champion attending all the events is the first step and
driving your car like you stole it is the second step.
VMSC and UBCSCC are well into the planning stages of jointly
bringing the BC Auto Slalom Championships to us for 2012. We are looking for some good people to help
put this event on. Keep your eyes on
the Forum for up coming details on how you can play a part in it all.
On the business side of things, the club had some
competition and constitution changes to be vote on in November and December,
but due to some points in the constitution on how notification was to be made
to membership, none of the proposed changes could be voted on. The Executive are setting up a game plan to
get VMSC into the 2000’s, when it comes to notifying membership of Constitution
and Competition Changes that need to be voted on.
One change we could make is acquiring a new venue for VMSC
General Meetings. All General Meetings,
effective February, will be held at Cedar Hill Recreation at 3220 Cedar Hill
Rd. The time is still the same, the 1st
Wednesday of every month at 7pm.
This move was originally put into motion by Ron Simpson in
an effort to help cut costs for the club.
Now that construction is finished, we can move in. We will have more room at a lower cost. Can you say win, win? : )
