2010 CACC Autoslalom licensing for all events
Jan 18th, 2010, 5:12pm

Beginning April 1 2010 CACC regulations require all Slalom competitors to hold a current CACC license.  TO make things as easy as possible VMSC has included the $10.00 fee in the price of your membership.  To make sure we can have enough members signed up before April 1st, we ask that you fill out the paperwork as soon as possible. Please download the CACC slalom license and complete in full; also have a photocopy of your Drivers License and club membership card attached.

You can find the form on our website here:
http://www.victoriamotorsports.ca/Content/2010%20Auto%20Slalom%20License%20Ap...

If you fill out the form and bring it to an event, along with the copy of your DL and membership card, we will submit it to CACC with payment. It is a simple form and will only take a minute, so if everyone starts early (especially you regulars who come out for the winter series), we will all be ready come April 1st.

Just a reminder to everyone that April is coming up fast, so if you haven't got your paperwork in you better do so ASAP!

I received an e-mail from Sherri about licenses. She said to check with you if they have come back yet. Should I email her again to enquire about status?

I have your license Chris. I'll give it to you next event or at the club meeting if you can make it.

There are two different Solo licences Scott.

One is for Slaloms (Solo 2) and the other is for Solo Sprints (Solo 1).

This is not required for the regular club events, is it?

Yes, the solo 2 licences are required, even for regular events.  Any club who runs any solo 2 events with CACC will require competitors to have these licences, so you can still attend the Porsche events without one (because their insurance is through Porsche North America), but that's about it.

Richard, the cost of the license is included in your membership.  All you have to do is provide a photo copy of your drivers license, club membership and fill out the application.

Then you can hand in the application to our Membership Director, Mark Reed.

Can it be done at the next event then? (not sure if I can make it or not)

Ok, so I've filled in the application and photocopied my DL and club license. where do I send it? Can I fax it to someone or email it or just bring it to the next event?

Thanks,

Adam

Cool, thanks Marcel. One last question... being that next event is "bring a newbie", what happens to them? Do they need to have a license before they even try it out?

Quoted from the front page -

There are allowances in place for first timers and non-club members who only run one event per year, but everyone else needs to have their paperwork in ASAP if they have not already done so.
